US Submarine Veterans of WW II
National Convention History
by: Paul Wittmer

The organization has held a National Convention every year since it's founding. Originally, a convention site was selected to be held in a different time zone every year. This was done to accomodate as many members as possible for attendance at a National Convention.

In addition to the National Conventions, a chapter or two, within each of the seven regions, would hold an annual Regional Convention. At the Regional Conventions, the Regional Directors would be elected.

To further the objectives of the organization, there would be State meetings, usually once a year, whereby all the chapters in each state would meet to elect State Officers.

Chapter meetings are usually held once a month. Much of the voluntary work of the organization, originates and is done at the Chapter level, most often with the assistance of the Wives.

The information in the following list shows the dates and locations of the National Conventions.
